Ingredients:

For Thandai Masala

  • Almonds ¼ cup
  • Cashews ¼ cup
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Melon seeds 2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
  • Hemp Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Black peppercorn 1 tbsp
  • Sugar ½ cup
  • Pistachios (optional) 1 tbsp
  • Cardamon 15-20

For Thandai Drink

  • 200 ml chilled milk
  • 2 tbsp of the above thandai masala
  • Few drops of rose water
  • Few ice cubes
  • Few saffron strands if you desire for a kesar thandai.

Instructions:

  1. Grind all the ingredients of thandai masala and make a powder
  2. Boil the milk with a few strands of saffron and let it chill
  3. When ready to serve take a glass of chilled milk(around 200 ml) and some ice cubes
  4. Add 2 tbsp of thandai masala powder and mix
  5. Add rose water
  6. Garnish with additional pistachios, hemp seeds and serve
